BCG's Social Media Community Rules of Engagement

Introduction

At Boston Consulting Group, we value conversation and community engagement on our social media channels. We welcome fans and visitors to share comments, opinions, and questions on our channels and we hope they lead to meaningful and valuable discussions.

One of our goals on social media is to create safe, respectful, and transparent spaces for discussion. In order to achieve that, we have established the following guidelines.

Our Community Values

We aim to…

  • Always act in a respectful manner
  • Keep an open mind and value your input and feedback
  • Be thoughtful and helpful when we engage with our communities
  • Protect our accounts and communities and not tolerate actions that don’t respect guidelines
  • Be responsive. We may not be able to respond to all questions, but we will do our best to reply to thoughtful and appropriate questions. We will typically respond to comments during working hours.

We ask that you…

Be respectful

Our number one request is that you come to our channels to engage in meaningful and respectful discussions. This doesn’t mean we can’t disagree.

Stay on topic

We enjoy having discussions about what we are sharing, and we ask you to stay on topic and engage us in discussions that are related to what we are sharing. This will help us create a better experience with all of our users.

Raise issues and concerns through DMs or private messaging

If you have issues with BCG or employees, please send us direct messages. We take your concerns seriously and we want to address them appropriately with you.

The comments on our pages do not reflect BCG’s position—they are held by members of the public. But if they are out of line with our values and policies, we will take appropriate actions.

Our rules

We will not tolerate, and we reserve the rights to remove, report, or block accounts, comments, and content that are identified by us as:

  • Spam, viruses, or as coming from a bot
  • Sales, advertising, marketing, solicitations
  • Fake accounts falsely representing themselves as being held by BCG or BCG employees
  • Content that is contrary to any law
  • False or misleading information
  • Confidential/private information regarding BCG, BCGers, or our clients
  • Copyrighted, trademarked, or violating intellectual property rights
  • Not relevant to our content (such as politics or religion)
  • Abusive, harassing, stalking, threatening, or attacking others
  • Hateful, disparaging, discriminating, defamatory, racist, offensive, sexually explicit, obscene, vulgar, or depicting violence

Thank you for reading and understanding our community terms and guidelines. We hope you will engage with us in a respectful and thoughtful manner so we can have rich and meaningful discussions with you that make our communities better and stronger.
