Bitan Datta leads Boston Consulting Group’s Asia Pacific Center for Operations in Industrials. He works with industrial goods clients on engagements related to large-scale business transformation, operations analytics, performance turnaround, cost reduction, and growth strategy. He has significant comprehensive experience in the steel, cement, and automotive sectors, as well as in construction, heavy equipment, textiles, and pharma.

At BCG, Bitan has been actively involved in operations-related subjects such as operations analytics (predictive maintenance, data driven quality, production scheduling), product teardown, design to value (DtV), lean manufacturing, and procurement (spend analytics and should cost).

Bitan is dedicated to increasing the penetration of digital and analytics and other Industry 4.0 technologies in the Indian manufacturing sector. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Accenture and ITC Limited.
