Johann Harnoss is a core group member of Boston Consulting Group’s Corporate Finance & Strategy and Energy practices as well as an affiliate of the BCG Henderson Institute. 

Johann's work focuses on innovation, growth, and vitality as well as strategy. He co-leads BCG's research on innovation. His views on innovation and growth have been published in Handelsblatt, Harvard Business Review, and MIT Sloan Management Review. Among other engagements, he has advised a European energy provider on market entry and product portfolio strategy; a global automotive player on innovation strategy, operating model, and capabilities; and a German industrial goods manufacturer on ideation and portfolio analysis. 

He is the founder and CEO of Imagine Foundation e.V.—an NGO to help create more prosperous and socially cohesive societies in Europe by facilitating the free flow of global talent.
