Thomas Weber is a core member of the Industrial Goods practice and the Automotive sector team at Boston Consulting Group. He is an expert for BCG's Center for Mobility Innovation.

Thomas has worked extensively with leading automotive OEMs and suppliers on innovation management, engineering efficiency, and the industrialization of new technologies. Most of Thomas' work has focused on growth strategies, new product development, and transformation of traditional business models. He is an expert in R&D digitization and has helped numerous clients scout trends, formulate future scenarios, and derive the right implications for their product and service portfolios.

Thomas has specific expertise and experience in the urban mobility sector with a focus on long-term foresight and mobility scenarios. He is skilled in translating emerging consumer needs, upcoming technology, and regulatory frameworks into mobility concepts and actual portfolio decisions. He has designed several electrification strategies for passenger and goods mobility, and passionately looks for opportunities to bridge private and public sector interests. Thomas is also a lecturer on strategy and innovation at the Otto Beisheim School of Management and other universities.
