Dr. Katharina Hefter joined Boston Consulting Group in Cologne in 2007. She was an Ambassador in the New York Office in 2010 and then returned to Germany to work in the Munich office in 2011, before settling in Berlin in 2016. Katharina is a core member of the Financial Institutions practice area, with a focus on compliance and regulatory topics as well as large scale transformation.

Katharina works with corporate and public sector clients in Europe, Asia, and the US on compliance issues and remediation programs. She is also an expert in transformation, value-based planning, strategy review, and risk management for clients in the banking, financial services, and real estate sectors.

Before joining the firm, Katharina worked at ESCP Europe, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Infineon. Katharina speaks English, French, and Spanish, in addition to her native German.
