The Insurance CEO wants IT investments that lead to changes his customer will notice and that take less operating budget. The CIO’s agenda is centered on the company’s legacy systems. This friction is something I see often at Insurance companies. In this article I suggest an approach to bridge the gap.

Assaf Tayar is a founding member of BCG Platinion, Boston Consulting Group’s deep technology strategy and transformation business, in Western Europe and South America.
Assaf has been instrumental in building BCG’s technology capability in IT architecture, ERP, cloud, and emerging technologies. At the start of 2022, Assaf took on an EMESA (Europe, Middle East, South America, and Africa) commercial build role for BCG Platinion, working closely with regional, global, and industry leaders on the growth strategy for BCG’s technology business. This work has driven the firm’s recruiting efforts to match market share ambition.
More recently, Assaf has been a leading member of the team Management Team driving AI into all BCG Platinion key offers.
