Jesper Nielsen is Boston Consulting Group's global practice area leader for Expertise & Knowledge. He is responsible for more than 1,200 specialty consultants and researchers, as well as the firm's knowledge technology platforms and GenAI activities.

Jesper has also held many leadership positions in the Corporate Finance & Strategy practice, including as regional practice area leader for Europe. He specializes in value-creation strategy and M&A topics throughout the life cycle of the transaction, including divestitures and carve-out preparation, commercial buy- and sell-side due diligence, synergy assessment and post-merger integration, and day one planning. He also has significant experience in takeover defense.

Jesper has been involved in more than 200 transactions and more than 20 large-scale PMIs, and has led a number of transformations and cost-reduction programs in industries including industrial goods, consumer and retail, and health care and biotech.

Jesper was the first regional practice area leader in Europe for BCG's Social Impact practice where he led the growth of the Climate & Sustainability business. He also led BCG’s work with COP 26 and continues to work extensively at the intersection of sustainability and finance, including with NGOs such as World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
