Pattabi Seshadri joined Boston Consulting Group in 1997. He is the former global leader of BCG’s gas and power work, and has worked with energy clients on issues including strategy development, capabilities improvement, technology-driven transformations, M&A, organization and leadership, and new business build.

In response to the ongoing transformation of energy businesses, Pattabi has been working closely with clients on several critical aspects: new value chains and business models, capital allocation and portfolio management, regulatory policy and technology development, and operational improvements to fund the journey. This work includes vision and ambition, asset and portfolio decarbonization plans, growth and innovation, venturing, capital deployment, regulatory and service delivery and operating model transformations, and new energy source development and integration (wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, etc.).

Recently, Pattabi has been shaping the scale-up of renewable and low-carbon solutions business models in the US in light of the Inflation Reduction Act, addressing market design, policy, regulatory, development, supply chain, customer transformation, and technology deployment.

As a member of BCG's Executive Committee, Pattabi has been involved in developing and supporting BCG insights and responses to winning in a low-carbon world, scaling the value potential from AI and generative AI, capital flows and productivity, and leadership and talent to deliver the energy transition.

Prior to joining BCG, Pattabi was a Transportation Planning and Economics consultant at Louis Berger International.
