Tom Peddicord is the Defense Topic Leader, and a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Industrial Goods practice, where his client work focuses primarily on aerospace and defense companies. 

Over the course of his career, Tom has worked extensively with organizations in both the public and private sectors. In the public sector, he has advised the US Department of Defense, the US Navy, and the US Air Force on improving major program designs and strategies, as well as developing government procurement plans. In the private sector, he has worked with aerospace, defense, and heavy industrial companies on growth strategies and business unit strategies. 

Tom has also engaged with a wide variety of industrial goods clients on issues related to cost reduction and business operations improvement. He has particularly deep experience in highly engineered products and improving business performance related to market strategy, maintenance, and development for those products. 

Tom sits on the board of the COMMIT Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping veterans make the transition from military service to the professional civilian world. Before joining BCG, he was a design and manufacturing engineer in both the aerospace and automotive industries, working for Ford Motor Company, Lockheed Martin, and Pratt & Whitney.
