Michael Brigl leads Boston Consulting Group’s business in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Switzerland. He is a core member of BCG's Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) practice, within which he led the Europe and Middle East business from 2018 to 2021. During this time, he successfully brought together BCG's expertise in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe. In addition, he has been globally responsible for corporate venturing for ten years and develops innovation strategies and digital business models for customers.

Michael has worked with private equity clients for 15 years and advises investors on strategy development, acquisitions, and value creation projects with portfolio companies. One of his focal points is thematic investing, such as targeted capital investment in important future fields. These have included plant-based meat alternatives and technology trends relating to artificial intelligence. As a PIPE expert, he has helped develop digital and sustainable transformations for companies in recent years, and has guided the strategic orientation of large financial investors with regard to topics such as sustainability.
