BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was awarded eight “Best-in-Class Category Distinctions” in Promotion Optimization Institute (POI)’s 2025 Consumer Goods Enterprise Planning and Retail Execution Vendor Panorama Report, which analyzes leading vendors to help CPG manufacturers and retailers identify the technology and services that can best help drive profitable growth.
BCG’s Revenue Growth Management platform—now named Revenue Growth Management AI by BCG X—combines historical data and consumer insights with advanced machine learning algorithms to help consumer goods companies maximize their growth potential. The platform received Best-in-Class Category Distinctions in eight areas:

POI’s report spotlighted that by leveraging the deep expertise from both BCG and BCG X, the platform is able to “deliver highly advanced capabilities and technology, while upskilling cross-functional client teams.”
The platform was cited in POI’s report for:
- Tailored Technology. The platform is fully customizable and co-created with clients to reflect their structures, processes, and business goals. “The solution adapts to how clients operate, not the other way around, ensuring high adoption and impact in complex organizations.”
- Deep Enablement. The platform “enables clients to plan across all levers—assortment, pricing, pack architecture, promotion, and trade investment—within a unified interface, powered by a shared semantic data layer and embedded strategic guardrails.”

According to POI’s report, “BCG continues to invest in deepening platform intelligence, increasing scalability, and expanding AI-guided decision support.” It stated, “With strong global adoption and a proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes, BCG is well-positioned in the market with its intelligent, cross-functional commercial planning.”
