The Road to UK Infrastructure Growth

In The Telegraph, Raoul Ruparel, director of BCG’s Centre for Growth, outlines how infrastructure investment can unlock broader economic growth across the UK. According to a BCG report, roads are more expensive to build in the UK than in other European countries. “I think what you see in the UK, in motorways and roads, is a bit of a peak and trough,” Ruparel explains. “We go on a big investment for a few years and then it drops off, which means that people leave the industry and move into different infrastructure sectors.”
