In The Telegraph , Raoul Ruparel , director of BCG’s Centre for Growth, outlines how infrastructure investment can unlock broader economic growth across the UK. According to a BCG report , roads are more expensive to build in the UK than in other European countries. “I think what you see in the UK, in motorways and roads, is a bit of a peak and trough,” Ruparel explains. “We go on a big investment for a few years and then it drops off, which means that people leave the industry and move into different infrastructure sectors.”
