Growing Consumer Demand for Workwear

In The Wall Street Journal , BCG’s Jeff Lindquist notes that, as more Gen Z and millennial Americans enter jobs in construction, manufacturing, and auto repair, “people who work with their bodies are investing in better gear.” While footwear and apparel for trades is a fast-growing market, he adds that, “unlike most other apparel makers, workwear companies must make sure their products work for people who use them as equipment, not expression.”
