BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was named a Leader in AI Service Providers in a new report by Forrester Research, an independent research firm. The report, titled The Forrester Wave™: The AI Service Providers, Q4 2022, recognized BCG for helping clients “…outdo peers with AI-led strategy and execution.”
Forrester’s report assessed the 12 most significant AI service providers, deeming participating vendors Challengers, Contenders, Strong Performers, or Leaders. Based on its performance, BCG was placed among the Leaders.
The report stated that BCG has “…built a world-class AI capability to prove that what it calls ‘bionic companies’ (companies combining human knowledge and AI) are outperforming competition.” With over 7,000 data science and advanced AI practitioners to help clients, the report stated, “BCG demonstrates AI strategy leadership with its vision, market approach, and talent strategy. The report noted that “reference clients consistently praised BCG for its AI advisory, engagement, data services, and AI talent categories, as well as its engineering and technology capabilities.”
A “Clear Choice” for Enterprise AI Initiatives
Forrester evaluated AI service providers on 29 criteria, which were grouped into three categories: current offering, strategy, and market presence. BCG received the highest score possible (5.00) in the Vision, Market Approach, and Talent Strategy criteria within the Strategy category.
According to Forrester’s report, BCG’s strengths include:
- Industry vertical expertise, including approximately 4,500 consultants with industry-specific AI specialization
- AI solution assurance capabilities, with strong emphasis on “Agile”
- AI literacy/training programs, in collaboration with leading universities
- Data science
- Product/R&D talent
- AI modeling sophistication
- ModelOps capabilities
The report stated, “Enterprises considering a partner for enterprise AI initiatives will find BCG a clear choice.”
