Antti Belt leads The Boston Consulting Group's offering in digital commodity trading. He is also Helsinki lead for the energy sector and analytics.
Since joining BCG in 2007, Antti has worked with oil industry supermajors, NOCs, traders, oil marketers, merchant traders, utilities, agricultural, and mining players on key issues related to trading strategy, analytics, and operating models. The current focus of his work is on digital transformation of commodities trading.
Antti has also developed several trading algorithms and deployed machine learning models in power, gas, renewable energy, oil, and cross-assets. He is the lead author of BCG research on digitalization of commodity trading and is a frequent speaker in industry events and in the financial press.
Before joining BCG, Antti ran his own trading business which focused on creating quantitative trading strategies for hedge funds, as well as running proprietary trading activities.
