Greg Emerson joined Boston Consulting Group in 2010. He is a core member of the Principal Investors & Private Equity and Technology, Media & Telecom practices. He leads BCG’s technology capital business for BCG in North America and co-leads that work globally.
Greg is deeply interested in the intersection of technology and private capital. He has specific expertise in transaction diligence (buy-side and sell-side), covering enterprise software, payments, fintech, data, and consumer internet business. He leads over 50 diligences a year in these segments. His transaction work runs from late-stage venture capital through leveraged buyout, including growth stage, maturing, and legacy technology assets. He also has expertise in value creation within technology portfolio companies, bringing the lens of “what will the buyer value” to his work.
Greg is responsible for managing, recruiting, and developing the firm’s North America technology capital consulting team—leading the relationship with some of the world’s top technology investors, coordinating collaboration with an extensive network of BCG experts across the technology landscape, and building out business intellectual property.
