Kompetence-mismatch i Danmark og den grønne omstilling frem mod 2030
’Kompetence-mismatch i Danmark og den grønne omstilling frem mod 2030’ is a report conducted in connection to and presented at ’The 2030 Countdown – Securing jobs, growth and people in a new green era’ conference in April 2021 hosted by IDA, Concito and State of Green in Copenhagen.
The conference was centered around how we secure a future workforce that is geared to support the green transition in Denmark and reach the climate targets of a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030. The report takes stock of the Danish workforce and estimates that we will be missing around 30.000-70.000 employees in “green jobs”. Furthermore, it is expected that it will become a challenge to attract enough talent with the right educational background from abroad. For a long time, Denmark has been a global frontrunner when it comes to the green transition, but it will be difficult to keep this title if the workforce cannot support the ambitious targets.
Denmark is left with a great task to both educate the Danish workforce and create clear paths within the green sector while creating a more attractive work environment for foreign green talent and perhaps invest in remote employees.
