Christy Carter is a leader in Boston Consulting Group’s Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) practice in North America. She is also the office lead for BCG’s New York office, the firm's largest office. She has nearly 20 years of experience in and substantial knowledge of private equity markets and transactions across industries.

Christy has particularly deep knowledge of consumer products and services, residential services, and business services sectors, and has experience throughout the lifecycle of these deals. She focuses on buy-side and sell-side transactions, as well as portfolio acceleration, M&A strategy, and investment themes. She is also the client officer for several mid-market and scale private equity firms, and has extensive experience as a trusted buy-side and M&A strategy advisor to private equity firms and corporations in a wide variety of industries.

Prior to joining BCG, Christy spent five years as an investor executing transactions and overseeing a portfolio at CCMP Capital, a middle market private equity fund. Prior to that, she worked at Bain & Company for seven years, where she focused on private equity due diligence as well as corporate growth strategy. Christy is also on the board of the New York non-profit Heart Share St. Vincent’s Services.
