Jilco Schuurmans is BCG Platinion regional consumer products leader and global co-lead for the (digital) transformation de-risking and quality assurance offering. Platinion is Boston Consulting Group’s digital excellence offering, focused on the design and implementation of business-critical IT architecture and digital products and solutions. Jilco works with clients in the consumer goods, industrial goods, oil and gas, electronics, health tech, and pharma industries.

Jilco is skilled in helping organizations as they transform on strategic, tactical, and operational levels, by leveraging IT platforms and data. His focus is mostly on core systems transformation, large program de-risking, and digital/data strategy and architecture. At Platinion, he has worked with clients to create new digital business and operating models leveraging data and technology in both greenfield (such as carveouts) and brownfield (such as SAP S4 upgrade/reimplementation) situations. Furthermore he helps clients with data and digital platform architecture, information management practices, and data governance.

Prior to joining BCG Platinion, Jilco worked as an executive partner at IBM, leading the Cognitive Process Transformation and Technology Strategy practices. Before that, he worked at DSM as part of the design and implementation of their digital transformation.
