Karin von Funck joined Boston Consulting Group in 2001. She leads the firm's Consumer practice in Central Europe and is the global leader for the firm's zero-based transformation (ZBT) work.

She has developed go-to-market strategies covering sales, marketing, digital transformation, consumer insights, and pricing. In addition, Karin's experience includes operational and organizational matters, strategic planning in growth strategy, business model innovation, and portfolio strategy. She has worked with clients in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, proving her adaptability and the extensive impact of her work across different market environments. Karin's project experience extends beyond consumer goods to include holistic cost transformations in other areas.

Karin has led many ZBT programs in a variety of industries and has particular experience in zero-based indirect and zero-based organizations. She also spearheaded the development of BCG's proprietary ZBB toolbox, enhancing spend transparency to unmatched levels.
