Martin Bell is an upstream oil and gas expert at Boston Consulting Group. He has broad upstream oil and gas experience covering petroleum development engineering and mechanical engineering, and including subsurface and surface engineering, oil wells, facilities engineering, operations, commercial, economics, and finance. He is a core member of the Energy practice at the firm.

Before joining the firm in May 2020, Martin worked for six years at Tulip Oil Holding B.V. as CFO, and 14 years at Shell in projects and technology and upstream. He began his career at Shell as a production technologist, and also worked in the areas of drilling the limit, Sakhalin, new business development, Iraq, Shell Global Solutions, and unconventionals.

Within BCG he leads the Upstream Commercial practice area.
