Matt MacKenzie leads Boston Consulting Group’s Strategy practice in Canada, and he is a core member of BCG’s Consumer; Corporate Development; and Marketing, Sales & Pricing practices. He is also a member of BCG's GAMMA Team, which utilizes the power of large and complex data sets to create competitive advantages for clients.
Since joining BCG in 2004, Matt has worked with clients in the US, Canada, Europe, and South America, primarily in the consumer goods, retail, and restaurant sectors. His focus has been on helping his clients drive the next wave of top-line growth. He has deep expertise in the topics of brand strategy, demand-centric growth, pricing and promotional effectiveness, market entry, and mergers and acquisitions.
Matt’s recent experience includes leading a broad-based performance-improvement program at a DIY retailer, creating a multiyear market-development roadmap for a North American restaurant chain, re-positioning an industry-leading consumer brand to tap new sources of growth, and using big data and analytics to enhance promotional decision making at a large retailer.
Prior to joining BCG, Matt worked as a computer engineer with ATi Technologies in Toronto.
