Rüdiger Schicht joined Boston Consulting Group in June 1999. He is a core member of BCG’s Technology, Media, & Telecommunications (TMT) practice, and he leads the practice in Switzerland, focusing on the telecommunications, media, and energy sectors. Rüdiger also leads the firm’s global work on mobile spectrum auctions and the telecommunications network leadership topic.

Rüdiger has extensive experience working with wireless and wireline operators globally on spectrum and network strategy, spectrum auction support, organization, postmerger integration, go-to-market optimization, and cost reduction. The primary focus of his work is supporting telecommunications operators across the globe in mobile spectrum auctions, spectrum and network strategies, network roll-out optimization as well as regulatory matters. For a number of Western and Eastern European telcos, Rüdiger has worked on the integration of fixed and mobile businesses, revenue and EBITDA growth strategies, service excellence strategies, and business model innovation.

Prior to joining BCG, Rüdiger worked for Shell (Switzerland) and Shell International in retail planning, retail sales, and internal consulting on entries into new geographic markets for downstream oil in Latin America, Asia, and Central and Eastern Europe.
