BCG Spark promotes community development and economic growth by working with small, minority-owned and/or women-owned business enterprises to drive economic growth for underserved communities.
Through direct consulting as well as partnerships with our broader business ecosystem of corporate partners, capital providers, educational institutions, and nonprofits, we help entrepreneurs scale, grow, and thrive. As part of BCG Spark, businesses accelerate growth, create jobs, and drive community development through positive economic impact and wealth creation.

BCG Spark is built on a simple idea: connecting our staff and experts with a diverse group of innovative entrepreneurs will help them fulfill their companies’ promise – and support our local communities to thrive. Over the course of several months, we help participants zero in on core business opportunities and challenges, accelerate their companies’ growth, and deepen their impact; we then activate an ecosystem of corporate partners, capital providers, educational institutions, and nonprofits that help companies sustain their growth over the long term.
For each project, BCG Spark works with the business owner to deliver a variety of benefits, including consulting support, access to BCG’s experts and partners, one-on-one business coaching, leadership advice, and panel sessions on topics such as sales, marketing and operations. This is furthered by our extensive network of ecosystem partners with expertise in small/medium businesses who provide access to additional expertise, capital, customers, and markets to help fuel growth.
Since the start of the program in 2016, BCG Spark has supported over 175 companies—and counting. The program has worked with businesses that have raised more than $400 million in funding and generated over $100 million in additional revenue, leading to thousands of jobs created.
BCG Spark leaders have expertise in growth and scaling for small and medium enterprises, including minority- and women-owned businesses. As BCG Spark leaders, they are committed to fueling the growth of underserved communities through entrepreneurship
