Alexis Bour is a core member of the Industrial Goods practice and Boston Consulting Group’s TURN unit. He works primarily with clients in mining, chemicals, energy, industrial goods, and consumer products. Alexis is passionate about delivering tangible impact, building high-performing organizations, and developing business talent. He leads BCG recruiting for South Africa.
Alexis focuses on turnaround strategy and execution, operational improvement, and organization effectiveness. He spent over 20 years living and working across Africa and has extensive experience in other markets as well, including the Middle East, Russia/Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and Asia. Prior to his consulting career, Alexis held marketing and purchasing positions in the automotive sector. Notably, he led a purchasing team and managed a global footprint of suppliers for five manufacturing sites (€250M of spend).
