Located steps from the Puget Sound waterfront and in sight of Mount Rainier, BCG’s Seattle office is our gateway to the Pacific Northwest. In the heart of downtown Seattle, we not only benefit from the city’s thriving culture, stunning surroundings, and nearby outdoor activities but also serve the region’s growing economy in industries that include technology, industrial goods, consumer, health care, and global health.

Our West Coast offices bring together consultants from a broad diversity of countries, cultures, educational backgrounds, and experiences. All of them have come to BCG because they felt that we are the right place for them: the right place for a rewarding and challenging career, the right place to work with passionate colleagues and clients, and the right place to build professional networks and lasting friendships.

History and the Area

Founded in 2012, Seattle is one of the youngest offices in North America and one of the fastest growing in the world. From our founding 12 members, aka the “Dirty Dozen,” the office has expanded to include a staff of more than 100 consultants and business support team members. To keep pace with our rapid growth, in November of 2016 we relocated to an expansive new office downtown that showcases much of what makes Seattle great: 360° views of our burgeoning city and its breathtaking mountain and water surroundings; a gallery wall with rotating exhibits from local artists; an open floorplan that reflects Seattle’s culture as a dynamic and collaborative innovation hub; and, of course, a great selection of local craft beers in the kitchen. In our new office, conveniently located right above a Link Light rail station, we are steps away from the waterfront, Pike Place Market, and the Seattle Art Museum.

Who We Work With

Our client base is driven by our location in the Pacific Northwest, where an economy rooted in industrial goods has more recently been transformed by a technology boom. As the region continues to grow and diversify, our client base has expanded in step. We now serve clients in industrial goods, technology, retail, health care, global health, and the public sector.

In addition to our work with clients, serving the broader Puget Sound community is at the heart of our Seattle mission. Through pro bono case work, supporting regional economic development initiatives, and partnering with local nonprofits for our annual Social Impact Day and holiday auction, BCG Seattle strives to have an impact beyond our office walls. Recent partners include Challenge Seattle, Tilth Alliance, Seattle Children’s Museum, Techbridge Girls, the Goodtimes Project, and Invest in Youth.

Our Office Culture

At BCG Seattle, we come from more than 20 countries and 22 states. As one of the newer offices in North America, an entrepreneurial culture is in our DNA. Office members are encouraged to bring their unique backgrounds to shaping our culture, our mission, and our day-to-day operations. As BCG Seattle grows, we continue to maintain and foster this entrepreneurial spirit and the close-knit community that has characterized the office since its beginning. BCG Seattle is also quickly becoming a hub of innovation, with several BCG GAMMA (data science) consultants in house, as well as a BCG Digital Ventures and Catalyst (software engineering team) office just across the water in Bellevue.

Together, the Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle offices operate as a West Coast system, focusing on the market in the western United States. We cover a variety of industries, including (but not limited to) technology and media, health care, consumer, financial services, energy, industrial goods, and public sector.

By working together, we are able to offer our clients a rich pool of experience and expertise. We cross-staff West Coast projects to give our staff a broader range of opportunities across the different industries and practices on the West Coast. Additionally, we offer international placement opportunities for consultants seeking global experiences, as well as secondment programs with industry-leading companies. The offices also collaborate for trainings and joint events, including our annual West Coast Retreat, which gives staff from all three offices the chance to connect in a fun, informal way.

The BCG Seattle office is an extremely tight-knit community. We host an annual ski trip to Whistler, Friday Breakfast & Learn talks, alumni forums and happy hours, an officewide Fantasy Football league, spring and fall offsite trips, our annual silent auction holiday party to benefit a local nonprofit—and much more!
