Elias Baltassis leads big data and advanced analytics in The Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions and Insurance practices. He is also a member of the firm’s Technology Advantage and Marketing, Sales & Pricing practices.

Since joining BCG in 2013, Elias has focused on helping clients in the financial services and insurance industries using the power of data and analytics. He has built the data governance function for a leading European financial institution, developed a big data strategy for a top global credit card issuer, devised a behavioral client segmentation and pricing strategy for a large European utility, and improved fraud detection and management for a leading European insurer.

Elias has also created a new product design strategy for a top global consumer goods company, fashioned a cross-sell and up-sell marketing campaign for a major French bank, and led behavior-based marketing for a European air carrier.

Before joining BCG, Elias was a partner with Opera Solutions, a leading pure player in big data. He was previously a partner with Bain and the Mitchell Madison Group.
