Jan Gildemeister leads Boston Consulting Group’s office in South Africa and the firm’s digital hub for Southern Africa. He previously worked in the San Francisco office and relocated to Johannesburg in 2018. Jan works with clients to define and implement digital strategies, both through targeted deployment of digital levers in their core and the creation of entirely new ventures and business models.
Beyond digital, Jan’s areas of expertise include global health, large-scale change management, pricing, and logistics/commercial vehicles. He is a co-founder of a BCG-incubated start-up called FR8Star, a digital marketplace for truckload transportation in North America.
Prior to joining BCG, Jan worked at McKinsey & Company where he was an expert in the pricing practice.
