Maarten Bekking is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Principal Investors & Private Equity practice (PIPE). He is the private equity and people lead for the EMESA (Europe, Middle East, South America) region. In addition, he is co-lead for the Amsterdam private equity team and drives the firm's LAB (London, Amsterdam, Brussels) infra investors agenda.

Since joining BCG in 2004, Maarten has led over 200 transactions through buy-side and sell-side commercial due diligence efforts. He also spends a significant part of his time on post-acquisition "full potential plans" as well as specific value creation projects aimed at commercial, digital, and organizational acceleration, among other goals. 

His expertise spans a range of industries, in particular infrastructure/industrial goods and business services, including parking, leasing, energy transition, 3D printing, chemical distribution, on- and off-shore equipment and services, and building materials.

Maarten has also performed multiple commercial (vendor) due diligence projects in both B2B and B2C consumer goods and retail, working with clients in cleaning services, bottling/food and beverage, dental care, and holiday parks, among others. As part of his transaction expertise, he has deep experience in the field of corporate M&A, where he worked on multiple carve-outs and designed separation and PMI strategies.
