Talent Acquisition Lead
BCG’s Philadelphia office opened in 2007 to better serve companies in the area, and our small entrepreneurial team has grown rapidly since then. We represent diverse backgrounds, including MBA, PhD, and JD programs as well as corporate positions. We also hail from countries and continents throughout the world, including China, Australia, Brazil, Africa, and India.
At BCG in Philadelphia, we are committed to fostering an environment where smart, talented people thrive. That is why so many of us have decided BCG is the right place for us: the right place to engage in a rewarding and challenging career, the right place to work with passionate colleagues and clients, and, as we shape our office together, the right place to build professional networks and lasting friendships.
Philadelphia, epicenter of the American Revolution and the first capital of the US, is a vibrant city with a diverse culture, exciting nightlife, world-class cuisine, and an extensive network of parks and museums. BCG opened its office here in 2007 to better serve companies in the area and to offer an attractive location for our team and future employees. Philadelphia, or the City of Brotherly Love, is in the scenic Delaware Valley and is the home of historic Independence Mall, where you will find the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross's house, and the New Constitution Center—along with fine dining and famous Philly cheesesteaks.
Despite being the fifth-largest metropolitan area in the country, Philadelphia feels surprisingly compact. Whatever neighborhood you choose, you can hit multiple hotspots within a short walk or cab ride. And whatever you want to do—whether it’s grab a cheese steak or dine at a four-star restaurant, jog up Kelly Drive or row on the Schuylkill, shop for antiques or browse the Rittenhouse boutiques—you’ll find it in Philly.
More than 40 Fortune 1000 companies, several major divisions of multinationals, and a number of large private companies are within an hour's drive of Philadelphia. BCG has worked with many significant clients in this market, and in fact the Philadelphia office collaborates closely with the Washington, DC and other east coast offices to support clients in the area. The location of BCG in Philadelphia has allowed us to deepen our relationships with existing clients and extend our services to new ones.
Thanks to a broad spectrum of expertise in our office, we have a diverse client portfolio that provides both a cushion against business cycles and the opportunity to work in many industries and functions. Some of our recent work has been in consumer goods, retail, health care, financial services, and education. The range of work includes general strategy, mergers, large-scale corporate transformation, and vendor strategy.
BCG in Philadelphia opened its doors in 2007 with nine consultants, and as we’ve expanded we’ve embraced the entrepreneurial spirit that comes with starting a new office together. We’ve remained a tight-knit group. It’s not uncommon to have an impromptu happy hour in the office on a Friday, or to take off after work to check out the local art galleries together. There are regular Friday socials and other informal get-togethers for sporting events, dinners, and concerts throughout the year. We also have a number of more formal officewide events, including holiday celebrations and community service projects.
It is an exciting time for all of us as we participate in the trajectory of the Philadelphia office, and we look forward to being part of its continued growth.
