Writing in Forbes, BCG’s Deborah Lovich discusses the future of work as US businesses brace for a recession. The pandemic-induced “Big Quit/Great Resignation” prompted employers to reevaluate their working norms, but Lovich fears a recession may cause some to delay the implementation of critical work improvements. She argues that companies aiming for mid- and long-term success will continue to prioritize employee satisfaction, even as a recession looms. “People are still the key to every organization’s success,” she writes. “Don’t lose sight of that fact.”
