AI Is Saving Time, but Many Workers Aren’t Using It Strategically

In Fortune, BCG’s David Martin explains why time saved by deploying AI does not necessarily lead to higher productivity. A BCG survey finds that 42% of employees say AI saves them eight hours per week, yet more than half report they are not using that time for more strategic work. Martin says many companies initially gave AI access to all employees regardless of their position, but are now pivoting toward selectivity and consideration of business cases.
