BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has named Vaishali Rastogi Chief Client Officer and Chair of Industry Practices, succeeding Tawfik Hammoud, effective October 2026.

In this role, Rastogi will oversee BCG’s 11 industry practices, help strengthen the firm’s most important client relationships, and guide strategic investments to address clients’ evolving needs.

“One of BCG’s core values is that clients come first – our success is measured by their success,” said Christoph Schweizer, CEO of BCG. “AI is creating enormous opportunities across every industry. What sets BCG apart is our ability to bring strategic clarity to our clients’ most complex challenges, combining deep industry and functional expertise with leading technology capabilities and applied AI to deliver transformation end to end. Vaishali will help us build on these strengths, bringing her commercial drive and leadership to our industry and client agenda.”

Rastogi will work closely with regional leaders, functional practices, and specialty businesses, including BCG X, Platinion, Inverto, and Quantis, to advance BCG’s industry and client agenda.

“Having spent much of my career working with technology companies, I’ve seen how innovation can fundamentally change the basis of competition,” said Rastogi. “With AI, CEOs face important choices about where the greatest opportunities lie for their businesses and how to capture them. The answers will be different for every industry. I’m excited to work with our teams to help clients shape those choices, act on them, and create lasting competitive advantage.”

Bringing Three Decades of Global Leadership Experience

Rastogi brings 30 years of experience at BCG, most recently as global leader of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, where she spearheaded growth across software, semiconductors, telecommunications, and technology infrastructure. She has helped organizations redesign operating models, develop talent and technology capabilities, and implement AI-driven transformations at scale.

She has held several senior leadership positions, including leading BCG in Southeast Asia and co-leading BCG’s sales topic globally. She serves on BCG’s Executive and Operating Committees.
