Angelo Candreia leads Boston Consulting Group's Insurance practice in Switzerland, serves as global People Chair for the Insurance practice, and is a member of its global leadership team.
Since joining BCG in 2008, Angelo has advised boards and executive committees at personal and commercial lines P&C carriers, and reinsurers through large-scale transformation. His recent work centers on AI: reimagining underwriting, claims, servicing, and distribution end to end rather than automating them in place, and designing the AI-first target operating models and organizational structures that make the change hold. He previously led BCG’s global Distribution Excellence work, where he built much of the firm’s perspective on next-generation insurance sales.
Angelo publishes regularly on insurance growth and distribution, including on how customer acquisition and retention economics are being rewired and what insurers must do to remain visible as AI assistants begin to mediate the purchase decision. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation, an initiative to establish Switzerland as a leading global deep tech ecosystem.
As global People Chair, Angelo is responsible for development, deployment, and retention across the practice worldwide—reflecting his belief that the quality of a transformation is set by the quality of the people running it.
