Paul Goydan is the global leader of Boston Consulting Group’s AI Cost Advantage program, an end-to-end approach to deploying AI at scale in order to reset cost structures and enhance operational efficiency rapidly, precisely, and sustainably.

Paul has over 25 years of experience working closely with senior executives of some of the largest companies in the world as they successfully navigate large-scale functional and operational transformations; increasingly with AI. He focuses on clients in the energy and basic materials sectors. Having worked on six continents, he brings a global perspective to delivering sustained value for clients.

Some of his recent work with clients includes using a merger integration as a catalyst for change in the operating model, organizational design, and cost structure of a globally diverse Fortune 100 company; improving field productivity for a global business by leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline real-time decision making; designing an AI-based enterprise-wide performance improvement program to significantly improve efficiency, collaboration, and speed-to-output; and driving an operational turnaround across a global manufacturing footprint.

Prior to leading the AI Cost Advantage program, Paul helped form BCG’s global Climate & Sustainability practice and led the North American Energy practice. He has also studied climate change in executive programs at Columbia University and Cambridge University.
