Alex Xie is a core member of the Industrial Goods practice at Boston Consulting Group. He focuses on the automotive industry. Alex has advised leading multinational and domestic automotive companies in Germany and China on designing corporate and business strategies, executing mergers and acquisitions, joint venture formations, and implementing organizational transformations.

His recent project experience includes designing the corporate and portfolio strategy for one of China’s largest commercial vehicle conglomerates, and designing the 2025 corporate and business strategy for one of China’s top passenger vehicle OEMs, focusing on innovation areas such as connectivity and autonomous driving. He has also helped a global top three passenger vehicle OEM establish a new business unit in China, focusing on innovative digital businesses.

Before joining the firm, Alex was the head of strategy for one of the leading Chinese internet companies and a senior legal and tax advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
