As a core member of the Energy practice, Robert Hjorth leads Boston Consulting Group's global offshore wind team in the Nordics. The team serves clients across the offshore wind value chain, including developers, suppliers, transmission system operators, regulators, and investors. Over the past few years, the Nordic team has done close to 100 projects with companies in the offshore wind industry globally.

Robert also leads the firm’s climate and sustainability work in Norway, including the Nordic net zero work. His team has developed an achievable and affordable pathway to net zero for each of the Nordic countries and identified green growth opportunities stemming from that transition.

Beyond offshore wind, Robert has extensive consulting experience covering renewable energy and green growth opportunities more broadly. Robert has worked on multiple projects in the Nordics, Europe, Asia, and the US for oil majors and IOCs, EPC companies, OFSE suppliers, renewables players, infrastructure investors, power utilities, and governments on a wide range of topics, including renewable strategy work, renewable auctions, operating model, digital applications (in offshore wind and beyond), and power trading.

Robert is passionate about airlines and is a former practice Ambassador on the topic in Atlanta. He leads the firm’s work in aviation in the Nordics and has worked with several clients across Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia in the airport and airlines industries.
