Dan Martines is a Managing Director with BCG X, where he specializes in Generative AI, AI platform engineering, and data management. Dan co-founded Boston Consulting Group's technology and digital practice (BCG Platinion) in 2015 in North America. At BCG X, he helps companies use artificial intelligence to modernize the customer experience, transform products and services, and optimize internal operations.

Dan has written leading perspectives on generative AI adoption, experimentation, and implications across business and society. He speaks with clients in many industries and helps executive leadership teams understand what this technology is, how it impacts their business, and how they can capture value from it.

Dan has over 25 years of technology architecture and implementation experience, primarily with financial institutions and health care, public sector, retail, and tech industries. He is currently leading tech and data transformations for a health care clinical research organization, and a US military health care provider. He also has retail and commercial banking experience, and leads the firm's work in data engineering and Anaplan transformations.

In recent years, Dan has focused on helping organizations understand the impact of rapid technology evolution at the intersection of generative AI, product-centric cultures, shift to cloud, engineering automation, and the emergence of data and digital platforms. His client work includes topics such as MLOps, SRE, AI/ML, DevOps, and multi-cloud designs.

Before joining the firm Dan was a senior manager at Accenture and CTO of an analytics startup.
