Bashir Todai is a member of the Financial Institutions practice at Boston Consulting Group. He joined the firm in November 2019. Bashir has broad experience supporting banks, insurers, asset managers, and financial regulators across Canada and the US on strategy, operations, risk, finance, and treasury topics. His recent work has focused on advising the boards and management of leading North American banks on how to transform their strategy and operating model in response to regulatory and cost pressures. 

Bashir’s core areas of expertise include financial and non-financial risk management; organizational design and governance; cost transformation; capital and balance sheet management; and financial forecasting and strategic planning.

Before joining BCG, Bashir worked at Oliver Wyman where he was a Partner in their Financial Services Practice and led their Toronto office. Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Bashir held roles as a software developer with IBM and NVIDIA Corporation, as well as in the equity research group of Scotia Capital.

He is also a CFA Charterholder and member of the Toronto CFA society.
