Kazunari Watanabe joined Boston Consulting Group after working in trading, retail, and precision equipment manufacturing industries, and at international consulting firms. He is a core member of BCG TURN.

Kazunari began his career in consulting after having worked in new business development at a general trading company. He has worked with a number of distressed companies on their turnarounds and assisted many companies’ transformations continuously from its planning to execution. In the past, he has been temporarily transferred to the client companies to lead their transformation and turnaround, taking up roles as a CEO, CFO, and division manager at manufacturing, transportation, and retail companies.

Prior to joining BCG, Kazunari worked at Seiko Instruments Inc. where he was a Chief Executive Vice President.
