Kazunari Watanabe joined Boston Consulting Group in 2020 after working in trading, retail, and precision equipment manufacturing, as well as at international consulting firms. He is a core member of BCG TURN, focusing on transformation.

Kazunari began his career in consulting after working in new business development at a general trading company. He has worked with several distressed companies on their turnarounds and transformations—from planning to execution. For some of these engagements, he was been temporarily transferred to manufacturing, transportation, and retail clients, taking on roles as a CEO, CFO, and division manager.

Prior to joining BCG, Kazunari worked at Seiko Instruments Inc. where he was a Chief Executive Vice President.
