Kazunari Watanabe joined Boston Consulting Group after working in business company operations and management at trading, retail, precision equipment manufacturing industries and at international consulting firms. He is a core member of BCG’s Transformation practice, operation practice and public sector practice.

Kazunari began his career in consulting after having experienced new business development at a general trading company. He has worked with a number of distressed companies on their turnaround, and assisted many companies’ transformation, consistently from its planning to execution. In the past, he has been temporarily transferred to the client companies to lead their transformation and turnaround, taking up roles as a CEO, CFO, and division manager at manufacturing, transportation, and retail companies.

Prior to joining BCG, Kazunari worked at Seiko Instruments Inc. where he was a Chief Executive Vice President.
