Vinay Shandal

Vinay Shandal leads Boston Consulting Group’s sustainable investing business globally and is on the global leadership team of the Climate & Sustainability practice. He supports clients investing in real assets (infrastructure, real estate), the energy transition, and climate innovation, by focusing on strategy, transaction support, portfolio value creation, and structuring joint venture alliances and carve-outs with corporates.

Vinay also supports leading capital pools (asset owners, asset managers, private markets funds, family office) around the globe on their business strategy (investment strategy, climate, technology, people) and operating models; as well as working with leading energy and industrial companies to access growth in green adjacencies.

Vinay is also a core member of BCG’s Centre for Canada’s Future. In that role, he helps move Canada forward by providing insight and expertise on the country’s most important issues. The CCF also aims to convene leaders from business, government, and nonprofit to work together to achieve impact.

Before he joined the firm, Vinay practiced law for several years in the New York offices of Cravath, Swaine & Moore; and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz on private and public company mergers, acquisitions, and strategic alliances across industries.

Vinay is a board member of Capitalize 4 Kids, a nonprofit that aims to solve the toughest challenges in children's brain and mental health.
