Jan Mueller is the regional leader for zero-based budgeting in Western Europe and South America for Boston Consulting Group—with a focus on shaping and delivering large-scale transformations. He is also a member of the Consumer practice, specializing in growth strategy, operating models, and zero-based transformations.

Jan has over 20 years consulting experience, predominantly working in the consumer goods and retail industries. He has shaped and led programs addressing growth and marketing strategies, operating models, cost reduction, and M&A.

Prior to joining BCG, Jan led the UK consumer products strategy practice for another global consultancy. He also created and led their FMCG and retail strategy practice in Russia for five years. Jan speaks fluent English and Russian and basic French and Dutch, along with his native German.
