Rising temperatures, intensifying storms, and rising seas are already reshaping lives and livelihoods — and by the 2050s, these pressures are set to deepen, testing the resilience of communities, ecosystems, and economies across the region.

Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Think City, and WWF-Malaysia have unveiled the Southeast Asia Climate Adaptation and Resilience (SEACAR) Alliance Report 2.0, “Strengthening Southeast Asia: Adaptation and Resilience Through Collaboration and Innovation”.

Building on the inaugural 2023 report, “The Might of Nature and the Power of Technology – Charting a Climate-Resilient Southeast Asia” , this new edition explores how nature-based solutions (NbS) and technological innovation can jointly equip cities and communities to navigate the realities of a changing climate.

Featuring case studies from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Vietnam, SEACAR Report 2.0 spotlights ten inspiring initiatives where science, technology, and natural systems converge — from empowering communities to restore riverbanks naturally, to integrating technology in urban design that reconnects green corridors. Together, these stories reveal how Southeast Asia can transform vulnerability into resilience, turning adaptation into opportunity.
