Boston Consulting Group's study on cultural diversity in the DACH region explores how the mix of cultural and ethnic backgrounds within companies shapes what employees believe, how included they feel, and how they perceive organizational success.

Based on a survey of more than 1,000 professionals across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the report examines how cultural identity influences individuals' experience of the workplace.

The analysis goes beyond traditional diversity metrics. It explores the extent to which employees feel able to bring their authentic selves to work, how strong their sense of belonging is, and how this connects to their perception of business benefits such as creativity, talent attraction, and engagement. The findings are clear: in companies with high cultural diversity, employees are significantly more likely to see diversity as a driver of innovation, decision quality, and business value — and they report feeling more comfortable being themselves at work.

The report is aimed at decision-makers who view cultural diversity not as a symbolic issue, but as a lever for stronger employee conviction, belonging, and organizational culture.
