Somit positioniert sich Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich als eines der Länder mit den höchsten Gesundheitskosten, aber ohne eine qualitativ überdurchschnittliche Versorgung. Sollte sich diese Entwicklung fortschreiben, werden die Gesundheitsausgaben bis 2040 um bis zu 80% (€ 300 Mrd.) wachsen.

Carolin Eistert is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care practice focusing on the payer segment. She currently serves as head of recruiting for Central Europe, where she shapes the regional talent strategy and drives key initiatives to strengthen BCG’s recruiting and talent pipeline.
In her client work, Carolin specializes in large-scale transformations, with a strong emphasis on digital modernization, advanced automation, and the integration of Generative AI to enhance operational efficiency and enable sustainable performance improvements.
Since joining BCG in 2007, she has worked across industries on a wide range of strategic and operational topics, including growth strategies, transformation programs, HR and change management, and real estate development. Her work is characterized by a strategic, people-centric approach and a strong ability to guide organizations through complex change.
From 2009 to 2012, Carolin completed her DPhil/PhD in political science during an educational leave, further strengthening her analytical and research expertise.
