Grantly Mailes is the Asia Pacific Regional leader for the Center for Digital Government at Boston Consulting Group. He is a core member of the Technology Advantage practice at the firm, and specializes in blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the use of advanced analytics and big data in the public sector. 

Grantly has deep expertise in the use of digital technologies to transform enterprises in the financial services, energy, transportation and logistics, and manufacturing industries, and in the public sector. 

At BCG, Grantly’s work has included developing and implementing a digital transformation of an Australian superannuation fund, and helping develop a detailed technology strategy for a major Australian energy company.

Grantly is a technology entrepreneur and investor. He has cofounded a number of technology-based startups and holds a number of directorships and board advisory positions for technology-based companies. 

Prior to joining BCG, Grantly worked as the chief technology advocate and deputy secretary of innovation and technology in the Victorian Government’s Department of Premier and Cabinet. He was also chairman of CenITex, the Victorian Government’s internal ICT shared service provider. In his tenure as chairman, CenITex recorded its first profit after recording successive, significant losses.
