Henning Schierholz is part of Boston Consulting Group's leadership team in Germany. He previously led the firm's Hamburg office for several years. Henning focuses on transportation and logistics, specifically rail. In this space he and his teams worked intensively on new digital business models and digitizing the customer interface, as well as on digital railway operations. He is responsible for the relationship between BCG and a large European railway company.

Henning's primary areas of expertise are people, organization, and transformation. He led the firm's People & Organization practice in Europe for several years, and is currently the lead for organization and operating model design. Henning has led a larger number of holistic operating model transformations across a broad variety of industries, including transport and logistics, machinery, industrial services, and chemistry. His specific expertise covers topics such as the role of the center, functional operating model design, org and overhead cost efficiency, and driving cultural change.
