Maren Mende-Benford joined Boston Consulting Group in January 2023. She is a member of the Financial Institutions and Climate & Sustainability practices. Maren primarily focuses on large scale transformation, strategy development, and market entry projects. She has 15 years' experience in banking, insurance, and consulting, and has spent her career in Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Germany, and the UK.
Maren is currently on a two-year assignment to support the growth of the BCG Africa system, leveraging her global expertise and local knowledge gained during her previous work in African banking.
The current focus of Maren's work is strategy development, market entry strategy and business transformation for financial institutions, as well as climate and sustainability work across a variety of industries, but with a particular focus on the intersection with financial institutions. Before joining the firm, Maren worked at Allianz, Oliver Wyman, and Barclays, including ABSA, which was part of Barclays at the time.
