Philipp Jostarndt  joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2007. He is a core member of the worldwide Industrial Goods and Corporate Development practices and a core member of the metals and mining sector.

At BCG, Philipp has focused on strategy (portfolio transformation, organization, investor strategy) and transaction-related work (mostly corporate divestitures, but also buy-side M&A for corporate clients and financial sponsors).

One of Philipp’s many projects was a strategic assessment of greenfield investment by a German steel client into the NAFTA steel market, and its subsequent divestiture. Another was the portfolio transformation of a mid-sized German machinery-and-engineering client and the auction-sale of its oil-and-gas and power-components division to a private-equity sponsor.
