Smith Sangiambut is the Asia Pacific lead for commodity optimization and trading at Boston Consulting Group. He specializes in helping clients navigate and profit from commodity market volatility through strategic growth initiatives, trading operating model design, and the integration of digital and AI technologies.
Smith works with clients across the oil and gas, utilities, mining, and agribusiness sectors, enabling them to enhance commercial performance by improving how they source, trade and market commodities, and optimize their value chains.
He has led engagements across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and brings a global perspective shaped by diverse market conditions and regulatory environments.
Prior to consulting, Smith worked in credit derivatives at UBS Investment Bank in London.
